100% industrial grade Nylon.
This nylon sealing ring is simply attached to the hopper (bean container) and closes the slot in the hopper.
Coffee crumbs, bean dust, or small fragments often escape during grinding.
Nylon is significantly more robust and flexible than PLA, remains more dimensionally stable even when exposed to heat and moisture, and is therefore much more durable as a plug-in/clamping part in everyday use than many typical 3D printing plastics.

The Profitec SD54 bundle consists of:
• Stainless steel pointer (laser cut/CNC bent)
• Black instrument-style dial (aluminum, not a simple sticker)
• Dial with very small scale increments for optimal fine adjustments
Goal: clear, reproducible reference on the adjustment ring – note recipes cleanly and repeat them reliably.
Developed as a unit: hand tip, scale logic, and reading angle are coordinated (maximum reading accuracy).
Material: stainless steel pointer (laser cut) + aluminum dial (scale).
Advantage over 3D printing (plastic): very dimensionally stable, smooth/closed surfaces – easy to clean, less adhesion of coffee powder and coffee oils.
Function: clear indication of scale markings on the adjustment ring – less guessing, more repeatability.
Installation: the dial is simply clamped in place with screws, just like the original. No adjustment, conversion, or modification necessary!
